According to Wikipedia Norman Rockwell was a 20th-century American author, painter and illustrator. His works enjoy a broad popular appeal in the United States for their reflection of American culture. Specifically the day in the life of moms, dads, kids, and everyone in the average neighborhood. However, we accidentally ran across some rare and EXCLUSIVE Rockwell Rough Drafts* that we thought we’d share for your viewing pleasure.
What most people don’t know is that Norman Rockwell didn’t always get what he was trying to portray exactly right the first time. We always think about the ‘old days’ as being on a higher moral ground but what we discovered in some of the artist’s rough drafts is that life back then probably wasn’t too different from now, minus Facebook and Netflix of course.
This month’s rough draft comes from the work known as the “Shadow Artist”. It might have been originally called, “Bad Grandpa”.
